2% use of near zero emission fuels by 2027 or the equivalent reduction in absolute emissions from installing Energy Efficiency Technologies
of carbon intensity by 2030 compared to the baseline (2014)
by 2050 and adoption of near zero emission fuels in the operated fleet
Carbon abatement tokens are available to support Swire Bulk’s customers in decarbonising their supply chains, using a credible book and claim mechanism. The tokens represent quantified and verified emissions reductions achieved through the use of second-generation biofuels.
Through this approach, customers can allocate in-sector emissions abatement to their shipments and apply the associated reductions to their Scope 3 emissions. This enables customers to credibly report supply chain emission reductions while directly supporting decarbonisation within the maritime sector.
